We're excited to announce that Rumpel's engineering team, Josh Levine (CTO & Co-founder) and Steven Valeri (Founding Engineer), is joining 0x.

After building Rumpel into DeFi's first liquid points marketplace, scaling it to $171M in TVL and thousands of users on Ethereum and HyperEVM, Rumpel made the decision to wind down operations and pursue new challenges.

The Rumpel team will bring proven expertise in building infrastructure for an onchain economy and apply their knowledge to liquidity integrations at 0x, working on improvements to the decentralized trading infrastructure used by 500+ teams to power token swaps.

Why Rumpel chose 0x

Rumpel is a points tokenization protocol that powered airdrops for projects like Ethena, EtherFi, Resolv and Zircuit. Founded by a team that has worked full-time on DeFi infrastructure since 2018, their vision for tokenization converged on many of the same values we hold at 0x:

What's comes next?

The Rumpel engineering team will be focused on expanding the depth and quality of 0x's liquidity. This includes contributing to new products launching this year, such as the upcoming 0x Cross-Chain API and 0x Solana Swap API.
