Welcome to our app spotlight series, where we highlight exciting and novel projects built on 0x. We recently spoke with tastycrypto about their new self-custody wallet and how they leveraged 0x Swap API to enable a seamless and secure token-swapping experience for users.
What is tastycrypto?
tastycrypto is what happens when the brains behind tastytrade, tastylive, and IG Group build a digital assets business. Our self-custody crypto wallet accompanies the cash-crypto offerings at tastytrade by giving our users direct control over their digital assets.
In addition to viewing NFTs, the tastycrypto wallet offers users the ability to securely store crypto, send/receive crypto, and swap digital assets on Ethereum.
What sets tastycrypto apart from other wallets?
There are a few ways that our wallet stands out from the self-custody pack:
tastytrade Integration: In the coming months, users will be able to transfer their crypto seamlessly into and out of their self-custody tastycrypto wallet directly from the tastytrade platform, which offers crypto-cash trading through Zero Hash.
Speedy Customer Support: We have a team of highly skilled customer support representatives standing by to answer any and all questions customers may have.
Help Center & Learn: The tastycrypto site features both a help center and a knowledge blog called ‘Learn’. In Learn, we educate customers on all things DeFi, from how DEXs work to the steps you need to take to join a liquidity pool.
Why did you choose to integrate Swap API?
We were looking to provide customers with a safe, straightforward, and seamless in-app token-swapping experience. Additionally, we wanted to offer customers the best prices possible.
We chose to go with Swap API for several reasons. Here are just a few:
- Robust token offering: Swap API offers trading on thousands of tokens.
- Outstanding support: The customer support has been exceptional.
- Slippage protection: Swap API offers customizable slippage protection.
- Vast ecosystem: Swap API aggregates over 100 DEXs and AMMs.
- Forward-Thinking: Tx Relay API is just one example of how 0x raises the bar.
Additionally, with 0x doing the heavy lifting by onboarding new liquidity sources and new chains, it has removed the burden of maintaining the overhead of liquidity infrastructure. We were able to quickly complete our integration with Swap API in far less time than expected.
What’s next for tastycrypto?
Tastycrypto has a lot more in the pipeline. In the coming weeks, tastycrypto will be integrating with WalletConnect to allow our customers to interact with hundreds of dApps. Our wallet will also soon be integrating with Layer 2s like Polygon, offering cost-efficient access to staking and liquidity-providing protocols in decentralized finance (DeFi).
